The School for Young Researchers and Leadership Academy of the Politecnico di Torino is an innovative initiative that enhances and makes accessible the University’s rich educational heritage.
The School supports researchers in the conscious development of their transferable skills and to strengthen their institutional awareness, fostering a participatory and growth-oriented academic culture.
Its mission is encapsulated in the acronym VISION – Valorisation and Increase of Institutional Sense to Orient and Navigate within the University: a comprehensive training pathway that helps participants understand, value, and fully engage with the institutional dimension of the Politecnico.
Through workshops, self-assessment tools, and personalised learning pathways, the School promotes a model of “integrated formative orientation”, in which the University actively supports individuals in shaping their own professional development.
The Leadership Academy, the advanced component of the project, focuses on developing transversal and leadership skills — personal, collaborative, and strategic — while promoting integrity, effective communication, and responsibility toward the academic community and society.
The School is directed by Professor Anita Tabacco and supported by a multidisciplinary Strategic Board composed of:
- Professor Andrea Bianco, Vice-Rector for Internal Policies
- Professor Fulvio Corno, Vice-Rector for Education
- Professor Mariagrazia Graziano, Director of TLLab
- Professor Stefano Grivet Talocia, Director of the Doctoral School
- Professor Giuliana Mattiazzo, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Technological Innovation
