The PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering (ICA) deals with various research topics through an engineering and quantitative approach. This approach makes use of theoretical, mathematical and numerical modelling and of experimental methods, carried out both in the field and in high-level laboratories. The programme involves many professors and PhD students from different departments of Politecnico di Torino, who carry out multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research activities, fostering the diversification of the study plan for future students.
Although the students’ research topics are often very transdisciplinary and cannot often be assigned to a predetermined research topic, it is useful here to recall the main topics of research that involve ICA’s professors.
