Study plan

The educational offer of the PhD in Urban and Regional Development is organized according to the three thematic areas:

  • Urban and Regional Studies;
  • Spatial Planning, Evaluation and Management;
  • Technologies, Techniques, and Methodologies for Sustainable Development.

PhD students can choose to attend courses in any of the three areas, filling their study plan after having discussed it with their supervisor. It is mandatory that at least 60% of the hours of hard skills courses are attended in courses of the URD offer.

The PhD Academic Board suggests to attend during their first year all the hard and soft skills courses that are necessary to obtain the minimum requirements.
