In relation to the information obligation expressly provided for by Article 36 of Legislative Decree 81/08, workers are required to review:
- the informatives on health and safety in the workplace,
- the procedures established for managing emergencies at the Polytechnic of Turin locations.
Individual Work Hazard Reconnaissance Sheet (SIR)
Due to the fact that workers of the Polytechnic, particularly researchers, depending on the focus of their specific research topics, may be exposed to initially unforeseen risks within the departments of their respective structures, the Polytechnic conducts a thorough and dynamic survey of tasks for each individual worker. The Individual Work Hazard Recognition Form (SIR) must be completed by the staff of PoliTO who hold the position of worker and aims to individually record job duties. The SIR allows for the collection of some of the necessary information to effectively assess the risks to which the worker is exposed and, consequently, based on the instructions of the Competent Doctor, to identify and implement the measures provided for health surveillance (art. 41 of Legislative Decree 81/2008). The Individual Work Hazard Recognition Form (SIR) must be completed by the workers of PoliTO within a reasonable time to define specific work activities with their Supervisor. The SIR Form must only be updated in case of a substantial change in your work activity and the associated occupational hazards you are exposed to. The form maps out the tasks and related occupational hazards and is not linked to the work profile. A simple change in the type of contract or an update to the contract does not require re-completing the SIR Form.
It can be completed on the Safety Live platform. The user manual provides instructions for completing and validating the SIR.
Maternity/Paternity
In case of pregnant workers, Legislative Decree 151/01, "Consolidated Act of Legislative Provisions on the Protection and Support of Maternity and Paternity," provides that the Employer adopts appropriate measures to protect the safety and health of workers during pregnancy.
