The Prevention and Protection Service offers a variety of training courses for PoliTo workers. They vary depending on the type of activities performed and related risk levels.

Workplace health and safety training targets employees as well as other members of the prevention and protection system – managers, supervisors, RADRL, RLS, emergency team members. The courses cover the procedures that employees should follow to perform their tasks safely and to identify, reduce and manage risks.

For the use of specific equipment, systems, substances, personal protective equipment, in addition to theoretical training, practical training is provided to teach workers the correct methods of use and the safety measures to adopt.

Participation in the courses is mandatory. Participants will be invited by mail.

Invitations for the specific training course for workers are sent by the Prevention and Protection Service following the completion of the general training course in e-learning mode.

Invitations for the Supervisors course are sent to the appointed  workers; the course follows the completion of the general and specific training for workers.

Invitations for the information course for users of ionizing sources are sent following the request to prep.formazione@polito.it of interested workers by the Managers.

Training for workers is currently organized according to the scheme indicated by the Conference State-Regions Agreement of December 21, 2011.

Regarding university students, based on Art.2 Clause 1 Letter a) of Legislative Decree 81/08 and s.m.i., these are compared to workers  "as long as they use laboratories, generic work equipment, chemical, physical or biological agents, also devices provided with videoterminals, limited to periods of effective use of the aforementioned instrumentation or laboratories". In this sense their attendance to trainng courses has to be requested to prep.formazione@polito.it formally by the Lab Teaching and Research Supervisor that manages the activity, based on the specific risk assessment outcomes. Requests directly from students will not be answered. In case of doubts or for support, students can refer to the FAQ and ticketing system dedicated to them and accessible through the Teaching Portal.

In particular, the training path is divided into two modules:

1. "GENERAL" Training, with the same duration and content for all  PoliTo workers.

The General Safety course is available in e-learning mode and is accessible to workers and students from the "Materials" page of the Teaching Portal or directly via the  link.
