The Programme
Building on the success of previous editions, the Specializing Master's Programme is designed to provide advanced training to young graduate apprentices who will be hired by Iveco Group. The programme combines classroom and laboratory activities at Politecnico di Torino with on-the-job training at company premises, offering a fully experiential learning path that links theory with practice.
Participants will acquire skills in the application of innovative technologies in the automotive sector, with particular focus on:
- electric and hybrid propulsion systems,
- renewable and carbon-neutral fuels,
- connected and digital mobility,
- vehicle electronics, including simulation and virtual validation tools.
The programme leverages the expertise of several Politecnico departments — Energy (DENERG), Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS), Electronics and Telecommunications (DET), and Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) — ensuring a multidisciplinary approach. Interdepartmental research centres such as CARS@Polito, PEIC, and SmartData@Polito actively contribute, providing an innovation-driven environment for cross-disciplinary education, research, and technology transfer.
The programme is organized as a combination of learning activities:
- 400 hours at Politecnico (classroom, laboratory, lectures, business cases),
- 525 hours of Project Work on the job,
- 210 hours of training activities at Iveco,
- 365 hours of self-directed study.
All lectures are held in English and delivered by both academic staff and industry professionals, ensuring continuous interaction between research and applied knowledge.
