Selections

The selection process for the 2nd Level Specializing Master’s in Smart Commercial Vehicles for Sustainable Mobility is designed to identify highly motivated candidates with strong technical backgrounds and a good command of English.

The Office of Specializing Master’s Programmes and Lifelong Learning will review all documentation submitted by the application deadline. Degrees awarded by non-Italian universities will be evaluated by a dedicated board, chaired by the Programme Coordinator of the Master’s programme.

The process is carried out in collaboration with the partner company, which will assess eligible candidates through multiple evaluation steps. Only those meeting the mandatory requirements will proceed.

The partner company will assess candidates throughout the application period, but only those who meet the mandatory requirements will be considered. Please refer to the Admission link for details.

Proficiency in English is essential for the final selection. 
The selection process is structured in sequential steps—candidates may proceed to the next phase only if they have successfully passed the previous one.

Selected candidates will work within the Engineering division of Iveco Group, specifically in one of the following departments within the Technology & Digital area:

  • Zero Emission Propulsion & Energy
  • Software & Analytics Lab
  • Electrics & Electronics
  • Powertrain Projects & Product Engineering
  • Vehicle Engineering
  • Validation & Homologation
  • Innovation & Advanced Engineering
  • T&D Excellence & Planning
  • Cab, Body & Trim Engineering
  • Chassis Engineering

All candidates will go through the same process and will be evaluated according to a standardised scoring system.

The selection process is structured around the company’s leadership and behavioral competency frameworks and aims to evaluate a combination of:

  • core competencies
  • foundational skills (such as: communication, conciseness, and time management)
  • basic engineering capabilities

  1. CV Pre-Screening - Focused on:
    • Academic records and additional certifications
    • Publications (if any)
    • Work/internship experience
  2. Phone Screening with Human Resources - Focused on:
    • Brief candidate introduction 
    • Language proficiency (Only for candidates who do not hold a certificate)
    • Motivation and role preferences
  3. Online Individual Assessments - Focused on:
    • Cognitive ability test
    • Foundational engineering competencies
  4. Group Assessment and Panel Interview - (conducted in English) with Human Resources, Business Managers and External Partners aimed at evaluating soft and technical skills
  5. Final Individual Interview - With the assigned manager
