Biography

Marco Cannariato (Italy, born in 1997) is currently a PhD Student at Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) under the supervision of prof. Marco Agostino Deriu and prof. Jack Adam Tuszynski. He received his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2019, and in 2021 he graduated M.Sc. cum laude in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Since November 2021, he is enrolled in a joint PhD programme of the University of Turin and the Politecnico di Torino in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences. In his M.Sc. thesis (title: “Molecular Dynamics of the Alsin DH/PH domain toward a better understanding of Infantile-onset Ascending Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia.”) he studied a protein involved in the development of a rare neurodegenerative disease using computational molecular modelling. His research is mainly focused on the biomechanics of subcellular structures and the computational analysis of proteins pathophysiological behaviour.
