Ferrara Slack City Festival - workshop "Objects for the Festival and the City"
Objects for the Festival and for the City is open to 12 students/students or recent graduates from bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in architecture, design and landscape.
The purpose of the workshop is to design a system of elements to be placed in outdoor and indoor spaces for display, information, signaling of places and for functions that will emerge from the listening phase of the associations based in Ferrara. A common project will be developed through a first phase dedicated to the selection and development of a construction system through drawings and scale models (A), which will be followed by a second phase dedicated to the design development of the various elements of the system and their construction and placement to be presented to the city (B).
At the end of the Festival the structures will be donated to Ferrara associations for use during their events. To participate in the selection process, fill out the form downloadable from the workshop page and send it to info@ateliermobile.org attaching a pdf file in A3 format consisting of 3 pages (max 5 MB) including:
CFUs recognition is being requested for the students who will participate.
The activities will be subject to the regulations for the prevention of COVID-19 in force in Italy at the time of their performance.
The workshop will be held in Ferrara. Participation in the workshop is subject to payment of the membership to the association atelier mobile (5 euros) in order to take advantage of the insurance coverage. Travel and accommodation in Ferrara are the responsibility of the participant. Meals and overnight stays at discounted prices will be suggested.
Selected participants will be notified by email by 19 March, they will receive the detailed schedule of activities and indication of possible accommodations at discounted prices; applicants must join the workshop by paying the membership fee by 21 March.

- Page 1 (A4): a motivational letter (max 300 words) in which you explain why you are interested in participating in the workshop;
- Page 2 (A3): pictures of your chosen projects/works with brief description and data;
- Page 3 (A3): copy of an ID and university registration certificate.
