Developed to support the creation of the National Register of Education, Training and Professional Qualifications, as required by Legislative Decree No. 13/2013, it is the result of a participatory process involving institutions, social partners, professional associations, sector experts and other stakeholders in the labour-training system.

Its nature as a system for representing work lends itself well to multiple contexts of application in support of employability and learning services.
