Visit to PoliTO by Prof. Masaharu Komori from Kyoto University
During the week of the 16th to the 20th of February, the Politecnico di Torino hosted Professor Komori Masaharu from Kyoto University, welcomed as a visiting professor within the framework of the PNRR funding of the TNE-LEGO project.
Professor Komori delivered two seminars for PhD students in Mechanical Engineering, during which he presented his main research lines, including a pedal-based control interface, the analysis of the effect of movement trajectory on lower-limb muscle load, the development of devices to support leg movement during robot operation, as well as studies on the accuracy of vehicle posture recognition and operator facial recognition.
During his stay, Professor Komori also visited the INCAM area (Internationalization, Cooperation, Alliances and Mobility), where he gave a presentation on Kyoto University and initiated discussions on potential future collaborations and agreements between the two universities.
