Last stop of the Japan Hub director's mission: Osaka Institute of Technology, Kyoto University and Osaka University
The last stop on the Japan Hub director's mission took him to Osaka where, in addition to visiting the city's universities, he was also able to meet Prof. Masaharu Komori at Kyoto University.
The collaboration with the Osaka Institute of Technology came about as a result of Giuseppe Quaglia's visit to the university during his last mission in November, which led to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. This time, the director visited the Omiya Campus and discussed future collaborations, especially about student mobility.
One day was spent at Kyoto University where Giuseppe Quaglia visited the robotics laboratories, discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities and gave a lecture to Prof. Komori's students.
With Osaka University, the partnership was established in 2020 with a student exchange agreement. In particular, Prof. Quaglia met with Prof. Yumasa Fujisaki to discuss student mobility and possible joint thesis research activities.
The visit to Osaka University marked the conclusion of the Japan Hub director's mission to Japan.
