Wikiteach

Wikiteach is a platform designed for lecturers who are keen to be involved in developing and sharing active and innovative teaching practices in higher education. It serves as a hub where lecturers can find guidance and practical suggestions to make the teaching and learning experience more participatory, effective and responsive to the diverse needs of students.

The platform brings together materials developed from experiences of the teaching staff, examples of best practices, and support tools that guide lecturers in designing, delivering and evaluating their teaching activities.

Wikiteach content is organised into three main sections, each corresponding to a key area of pedagogical reflection and practice:

This section provides an introduction to the main active teaching methodologies and to the technological tools that support teaching practice.
It also offers guidance on how to design and assess innovative projects, promoting an evidence-based approach and the measurement of the impact of teaching practices.

This section brings together resources to help lecturers to design and structure a university course.
It covers the drafting of an effective syllabus, the definition of learning objectives and assessment criteria, and the management of teaching in complex contexts (such as large classes, international or multicultural classrooms, and theory-based courses). The section provides practical tools to enhance the coherence and overall quality of course design.

The third section focuses on the relational and inclusive dimensions of teaching.
It addresses topics such as establishing a classroom agreement, the educational relationship, the importance of feedback and active listening, as well as specific focus areas including specific educational needs and gender equality.

This section will be updated.

The paltform will be available in spring.
