What will you learn?
You will receive a solid training in fundamental sciences such as mathematics, physics, and computer sciences, that will provide you with analytical skills to model and asses the behaviour of structures, soils, water and transport networks. Civil and environmental engineers are also skilled in chemistry and economy and their application to model the behaviour and treatment of pollutants and to implement sustainable use of resources in industry.
How will you learn it?
This course will be held entirely in English with an approach based on the learning by doing paradigm: you will therefore be actively involved in projects, labs and field tutorials as well as plus internships in the private or public sector.
The course lasts for three years: the first year is common to all engineering disciplines and deals with maths, physics, chemistry and ICT. The second year builds upon the first to address topics such as fluid mechanics, science and technology of materials, statics and treatment of pollutants. The third year involves the study of more technical subjects such as structural and geotechnical engineering, surveying, roads and railway engineering and circular economy. During this year, it is also possible to pursue an internship in a company.
At the end of the third year, you will be expected to develop a final thesis on a topic that aligns with your vocation and curiosity.
