The international collaboration between Politecnico di Torino (POLITO) and Chang’an University (CHU), Xi’an, China, began in 2021 with Han Xin, a visiting student at DIATI (Department of Environment, Land, and Infrastructure Engineering), participating in the China Scholarship Council (CSC) – POLITO PhD program.
On August 10th and 11th, 2024, Prof. Ye Fei from the School of Highway Engineering at CHU hosted an academic exchange, inviting DIATI’s Prof. Chiara Deangeli to visit CHU’s South Campus. The exchange focused on the presentation of Politecnico di Torino and the various academic activities within DIATI.
The meeting was organized by Prof. Han Xingbo and Dr. Han Xin, who is now a researcher at Inner Mongolia University of Science & Technology. MSc and PhD students also attended the seminar. The event led to a fruitful discussion, exploring emerging trends in educational programs at both universities in the fields of Geoengineering and Civil Engineering.
Furthermore, Prof. Chiara Deangeli was warmly welcomed by Dr. Han Xin and Zhang Menghan, a PhD student at CHU, ensuring that her time in Xi'an was both insightful and enriching.
