Call for Application | AI-Enhanced Studio
The call is now open to apply for the AI-Enhanced Studio, an intensive summer design school taking place from 13 to 17 July 2026, focused on the integration of artificial intelligence into architectural workflows.
Now in its second edition, the program explores the use of AI tools within the design process, with a strong emphasis on professional practice. The activities will take place at the Castello del Valentino, in an operational setting where participants will work on real cases, experimenting with the integration of computational tools in project development.
Throughout the week, participants will investigate the use of AI across different stages of the design process—from concept generation to iteration, evaluation, and representation—while maintaining an active and informed role in controlling design decisions.
Through lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities, participants will develop workflows combining generative models, large language models, and simulation tools, understood as supports for decision-making rather than autonomous systems.
The program is structured as a competition-based design studio: participants, working in teams, will develop a design proposal for a real site in Turin, applying methods and timelines typical of professional practice.

A basic knowledge of digital design tools is required. Experience with AI tools is welcome but not mandatory.
To apply, candidates must complete the application form and upload a short portfolio.

- Lorenzo Mattozzi, an associate architect at MVRDV (Asia Studio and DAS Studio), with experience in leading complex projects and a strong interest in integrating new technologies into architectural design.
