Call for Applications | A summer school on AI, control and tactical opacity
This summer school explores artificial intelligence not only as a technology, but as a structure of power capable of capturing, modelling, predicting and shaping human behaviour.
Participants will engage with modularity as both a thinking system and a way to understand how contemporary power operates and how it might be resisted.
Over the course of the week, participants will:
The call is open to applicants with a background in design, architecture, computer science, artistic practices or related fields (Master’s students, PhD candidates or equivalent), with an interest in AI, speculative design and socio-technical systems.
Participants will be awarded 2 CFUs.
Participation fee
A fee of € 50 is required to cover materials and meals.
10% of the available places will be offered free of charge to participants facing financial difficulties.

- develop new tactics of invisibility and resistance
- explore strategies to become unpredictable, unclassifiable or unlearnable
- translate ideas into diagrams, texts, sounds and speculative systems
- design cognitive machines and conceptual interventions
