Abstract
This seminar will present how MATLAB and Simulink are used throughout the entire lifecycle of robotics and autonomous systems, from early modeling to real-world deployment.
In particular, it will show how to:
- model robots and sensors using built-in libraries, URDF/CAD imports, and physically based simulations with Simscape Multibody;
- design autonomous algorithms, including perception, planning, and control, with examples in AI, SLAM, and reinforcement learning;
- simulate and test systems at different levels of fidelity, including physics-based models, co-simulation, and integration with external simulators;
- work with ROS/ROS 2, both at the algorithm level and through model-based approaches for generating ROS nodes;
- deploy algorithms to real hardware, such as embedded CPUs, GPUs, and NVIDIA Jetson platforms, using automatic code generation.
