THERAD Final Workshop
The research project “THERAD – Microwave Theranostics for Alzheimer’s disease”, funded by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, has developed a non-invasive, low-cost microwave sensing technology for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease by analyzing the dielectric properties of cerebrospinal fluid.
Numerical simulations, experimental tests with realistic phantoms, and machine-learning algorithms have shown promising results in distinguishing healthy and pathological cases, paving the way for a portable device suitable for large-scale early screening.
The final workshop will take place on December 11th, 2025 in the Maxwell Room.
Programme
10:00–10:10 | Welcome & Registration
10:10–10:20 | Project overview
11:20–12:00 | “Physics-assisted Deep Learning for Electromagnetic Inverse Scattering”
For organizational reasons, the interested attendees are invited to register by writing an email to francesca.vipiana@polito.it and valeria_mariano@polito.it by December 9.
For more information, visit the Therad web site.
