THERAD Final Workshop

The research project “THERAD – Microwave Theranostics for Alzheimer’s disease”, funded by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, has developed a non-invasive, low-cost microwave sensing technology for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease by analyzing the dielectric properties of cerebrospinal fluid.
Numerical simulations, experimental tests with realistic phantoms, and machine-learning algorithms have shown promising results in distinguishing healthy and pathological cases, paving the way for a portable device suitable for large-scale early screening.

The final workshop will take place on December 11th, 2025 in the Maxwell Room.
