Water, Heritage and Technology: Scenarios for Resilient Landscapes

The workshop Water, Heritage and Technology: Scenarios for Resilient Landscapes explores water as a cultural and technological infrastructure that shapes resilient landscapes.
Curated and conducted by Giulia Bergamo (Politecnico di Torino) within the framework of the AGREE project – Advancing Cultural Heritage Governance for Resilient Climate Adaptation, coordinated by Mesut Dinler, the initiative is part of the Biennale Sessions programme of La Biennale di Venezia 2025.

From historic cities to industrial territories, water systems reveal stories of power, adaptation, and collective knowledge.
Through collective mapping, visualisation, and discussion, the workshop encourages a multidisciplinary approach that connects architectural history, environmental technology, and climate justice.
Water becomes a lens to interpret the challenges of urban transformation and to imagine new forms of governance, representation, and care for both built and natural environments.
