Illustration contest 'Visions of Nature-Based Solutions'
Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with the coordination of the Case del Quartiere of Turin, promotes the illustration contest Visions of Nature-Based Solutions, as part of the initiatives for Tecnologia Diffusa 2026 and Biennale Tecnologia 2026, with the aim of raising awareness and providing information about the potential of NBS solutions in the city of Turin. The aim of the Competition, organized in collaboration with the Green Team of Politecnico di Torino and the Rete delle case di quartiere di Torino, is to collect illustrations on the theme of NBS, understood as solutions for our city, in order to create an exhibition to be hosted at the Politecnico di Torino and in the city’s Neighborhood Houses.
Contest Theme
The Contest aims to raise awareness, inform and attract attention, through illustration, to the potential of NBS, particularly in the urban context of the City of Turin. The Contest also aims to encourage the use of visual tools capable of overcoming linguistic and social barriers, fostering public knowledge of topics related to technological and social innovation.
The contest is divided into two sections:
1. Section A: Illustration;
2. Section B: AI-generated Illustration.
Participation Requirements
The contest is free of charge and open to anyone who has reached 18 years of age.
The illustration must include a title (in Italian or English) together with a brief description.
Each participant may submit only one illustration and compete in only one of the two sections.
How to Participate
The request to participate must be submitted by completing the registration form (available at this link), filling in the release form and sending the illustration in digital format.
The deadline for completing the registration form and submitting the email is: Monday, March 16, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
The six winning illustrations will be awarded and exhibited at Biennale Tecnologia 2026.
