Call MATCHIN – Mobilizing Advanced Talents for Competence and High Innovation
To support Piedmont-based SMEs in launching innovation pathways capable of increasing their competitiveness and strengthening dialogue with the institutional innovation ecosystem, the Piedmont Region has launched the call MATCHIN – Mobilizing Advanced Talents for Competence and High Innovation, with the aim of facilitating the transfer of advanced skills from public research to companies.
The initiative seeks, on the one hand, to promote research and development, technology transfer, and innovation within companies, and on the other, to create new professional opportunities for research staff by enhancing their education and the skills developed within universities and research organizations.
The call provides incentives for the recruitment of highly qualified profiles holding a PhD who are currently engaged in, or have concluded within the past 12 months, a research collaboration. It also finances temporary secondments of researchers, technologists, and professors through specific agreements between SMEs and Research Organizations. These professionals will support companies in strengthening their innovation capacity, contributing to the development and integration of more efficient and advanced products, processes, technologies, or services.
Starting from March 2, companies may submit applications, provided they have already identified the researcher with whom they intend to collaborate.
To facilitate the matching of research expertise with organizations investing in innovation, the Politecnico’s Career Hub has activated a dedicated portal for external career opportunities for researchers, to which candidates may apply independently. In parallel, the Career Hub is committed to identifying suitable profiles aligned with companies’ needs.
Through the Research database, researchers—including those who have concluded a research contract within the last 12 months—can make their skills and experience visible to companies and internal University services. Profiles can be updated at any time via the IRIS portal.
For further information on services supporting researchers’ career development and to facilitate contact between SMEs and potential candidates, the Career Hub can be reached at careerhub@polito.it.
For clarifications regarding the MATCHIN call, a dedicated contact form is available.
