World University Games Winter | Torino 2025
Turin and the surrounding mountains will host the World University Games Winter, an event that was born under the Mole Antonelliana in 1959, originally known as the Universiade.
The 32nd World University Games Winter will take place from January 13 to 23 2025, and six municipalities in Piedmont will welcome over 3000 athletes competing in eleven sports disciplines: Turin, Bardonecchia, Pragelato, Torre Pellice, Pinerolo, and Sestriere.
The Opening Ceremony of the Games will take place on the evening of Monday, January 13, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.
The Palavela, which officially became the TO2025 House this summer, will host the short track and figure skating competitions.
Ice hockey will be held on Rink 1 at the PalaTazzoli, with the women's tournament, the men's semifinals and finals, and the men's and women's curling tournaments on Rink 2.
The preliminary rounds of the men's hockey tournament will take place in the arenas of Torre Pellice and Pinerolo, while Bardonecchia will host alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding.
