Visit of Kyoto Institute of Technology to PoliTO
On 17th and 18th of March a delegation led by Kaeko Kamei, vice president of the International Center, from the Kyoto Institute of Technology, was received at the Politecnico di Torino. The visit aimed to discuss the ongoing double degree agreement for the Materials Engineering course.
On the morning of 17th of March, the delegation met with PoliTO representatives, Japan Hub Director Giuseppe Quaglia, Prof. Marco Sangermano and Doctoral School Director Stefano Grivet-Talocia, to discuss the progress of the current double degree program and the possibility of creating a joint supervision agreement for PhD students on Architecture and Design. Following the campus tour, Prof. Wataru Sakai gave a presentation of the Kyoto Institute of Technology in front of some students. In the afternoon, the delegation visited the laboratories of the Department of Applied Science and Technology.
On the morning of the 18th a meeting with the Politecnico's mobility office and some Italian students who will be going on mobility at KIT was held. A Japanese student currently on mobility at PoliTO was also present. The meeting allowed the Italian students to get more information about the university and life in Japan.
