Strengthening Academic Ties Between Japan and Italy: Kyutech Delegation Visits Politecnico di Torino
On March 3, a delegation from the Kyushu Institute of Technology visited Politecnico di Torino as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international relations between the two universities.
The delegation, composed of Yoshihisa Nakatoh (Executive Vice President), Kotaro Watanabe (Specialist, Industry-Academia Collaboration Center), and Toshiro Wakabayashi (Chief Specialist of the Office of International Strategic Partnerships and Special Assistant to the Vice President for International Affairs), visited the BioMedLab together with Prof. Gabriella Balestra from the DET (Department of Electronics and Telecommunications), with whom an active research collaboration is already in place.
In the afternoon, the delegation met with the Director of the Japan Hub, Prof. Giuseppe Quaglia, who presented the project’s activities and objectives. During the meeting, an initial discussion was launched on the possibility of signing an agreement aimed at promoting student exchanges between the two institutions.
The visit continued with a meeting with Prof. Giuseppe Scellato, President of the I3P incubator, and Prof. Federico Caviggioli, member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. The delegation expressed great interest in the incubator’s model and activities, particularly in light of the recent establishment of a similar structure at the Kyushu Institute of Technology.
