Seminar by Prof. Cambini at the Japan Fair Trade Commission
On 21 November 2025, Carlo Cambini, a member of the Japan Hub Academic Board, gave a seminar at the Japan Fair Trade Commission, the Japanese antitrust authority and one of the main institutions dedicated to safeguarding the proper functioning of national markets.
During the seminar, he discussed the regulatory framework governing data and their use in light of the European Data Act, focusing on its implications for market competition. The research presented, titled “Machine Data Sharing and Innovation Incentives”, was conducted in collaboration with his colleague Flavio Pino from Politecnico di Torino and Prof. Jan Kramer from the University of Passau (DE).
This meeting represents an initial step in strengthening dialogue with Japanese institutions, with the hope that it will lead to many further and fruitful opportunities for exchange.
