NTT Data Delegation at Politecnico di Torino
Another significant event for the photonics sector recently took place at the Politecnico di Torino.
A delegation from NTT Data, a global innovator in IT and business services headquartered in Tokyo, composed of Hideki Nishizawa and Hiroyuki Ishihara, visited the Politecnico di Torino and was welcomed by Professor Giuseppe Quaglia, Director of the PoliTO Japan HUB, accompanied by Marina Rabagliati from the International Relations Office and Professor Vittorio Curri from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications.
Professor Quaglia presented the PoliTO Japan HUB to the guests who expressed strong appreciation for the initiative and showed interest in strengthening collaboration with the University.
The meeting also marked the official entry of the Politecnico di Torino into the IOWN Global Forum, a strategic milestone that paves the way for groundbreaking opportunities. PoliTO’s photonic ecosystem, one of the most advanced worldwide, is now poised to contribute to the development of All-Photonics Networks (APN): the only technologically sustainable solution to meet the growing demand for ultra-high-capacity and ultra-low-latency networks. These networks are essential for interconnecting AI-driven data centers (#DCI #DCX), with reduced environmental impact and a minimized carbon footprint.
