19/06/24 – Japan Hub delegation visits the Faculty of Engineering of the Kyoto University

A delegation made up of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization Alberto Sapora, Giuseppe Quaglia, Stefania Specchia, Edoardo Bruno and Luigi Tagliavini, visited the Graduate School of Engineering of Kyoto University at the Katsura Campus on 19 June. The delegation was received by Principal Yasuto TACHIKAWA and Prof. Masaharu KOMORI who, in addition to being the Chair of the Japanese organization of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM-Japan), will be involved on 21 June as moderator during the International Symposium on Robotics for Humanity and Healthcare: linking Italy and Japan in view of Expo 2025 Osaka, organized by Politecnico di Torino in cooperation with the Consulate General of Italy in Osaka and the Kansai Medical University.
The meeting was an opportunity to strengthen and explore potential areas of interest within the current collaboration with one of the most important universities in Japan. In addition, it was possible to present in detail the activities of the Japan Hub in the context of its continued institutional presence in Japan and the possibility of linking the two universities on potential directions of research funding.
