Biography

Physicist originally hailing from Southampton, UK and holder of MSc by Research in Laser Physics and 1st class honours Physics BSc from Swansea University. Previously a Fiber Laser Engineer at SPI Lasers UK Ltd., which was a research and development role featuring large amounts of complex problem solving, data analysis and independent laboratory work. Primary tasks included development of modified components and new features for the next generation of high-power CW fibre lasers, validation of theory through experimental testing, and fault investigation. Currently studying a PhD in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering as part of the Wideband Optical Network European research group. Previous recipient of the 2019 scholarship "Observing and modelling the NLI generation in optical line systems at very-high symbol rate" (n.1007/2019).
