Biography

Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, with a background as an Aerostructures Engineer and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Specialized in developing design methodologies for the structural analysis of metamaterials and cellular solids, focusing on additively manufactured metal lattice structures, using both FEM and analytical models as tools. Proficient in mechanical design for custom test setups supporting characterization, validation, and static/fatigue testing of diverse components. Experienced with structural analysis tools (Ansys, HyperMesh/OptiStruct, Patran/Nastran) and CAD software (SolidWorks, nTopology). Active contributor to Horizon Europe projects (MIMOSA) with pan-European industrial partners, and initiatives funded by public entities and private foundations (SMARTAIR).
