Biography

Giovanni Chiarion is a student of the PhD school in Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino.
He obtained a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Padua with a thesis on the study of a mathematical model of tumour growth.
Subsequently, he obtained a Master degree in Biomedical Engineering with an E-Health focus at Turin Polytechnic, designing a communication device based on pupillometry for people suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. This work allowed him to win an annual research grant at the University of Turin for the design of a Brain Computer Interface based on electroencephalographic signal from low-cost helmets.
In November 2020 he won a PhD scholarship on Functional Connectivity by researching how various anatomical and functional brain areas interact as a result of endogenous and exogenous stimuli.
