Biography

Erhan Ferhatoglu obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in 2014 and 2017, respectively, at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey. His master study is awarded as the 'MSc Thesis of the Year' for 2017/2018 academic term at METU. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. His research area is on the investigation of nonlinear dynamic behavior of turbine bladed disks with friction damping.

He has an industrial experience more than 4 years. He worked as a full time structural dynamics engineer at Turkish Aerospace Industries (Ankara, Turkey) in a parallel time during his MSc. He also had a secondment with Baker Hughes Company (Florence, Italy) during his PhD. He was a visiting researcher at Rice University at Texas in 2019.
