Biography

Damiano Franzò obtained a BSc in Computer Engineering in 2017. In that year, he started a double diploma program with Politecnico di Torino and Telecom Paris, obtaining a double degree in Computer Engineering (cum Laude), and Data Science & Engineering, respectively. In 2020 he earned a scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. in Computational Electromagnetics with Prof. Andriulli. Damiano's doctoral research focused on advancing numerical techniques for solving integral equations in electromagnetic and acoustic applications. He developed high-order discretization approaches, explored sophisticated preconditioning strategies, and optimized fast solvers to enhance simulation accuracy and efficiency.

Damiano worked on an open-source library Open321 containing several computational technologies (https://cerl-polito.github.io/Open321_pages/).

Damiano is a member of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN), an engineering honor society.
