Biography

Ihtesham Khan is a Ph.D. student in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He currently works with the OptCom research group in Politecnico di Torino.
Ihtesham Khan was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, on the 27th of December 1989. He received the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan in the academic year 2014. In 2014 Ihtesham enrolled in the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the National University of Sciences & Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has also been worked as a Transmission Engineer at Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation (ZTE) from March 2015 until May 2016. In 2017, Ihtesham received a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Communication and Networks. In March 2018, he joined the OptCom group of Politecnico di Torino as a researcher and working on the Multi-layer Orchestration of Optical networks (MOON) project.


Ihtesham Khan is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy from November 2018. His research mainly focuses on the optimization of Optical Transmission Systems with Machine Learning Techniques and their study in an elastic optical network context.
