Biography

Sina Famouri has obtained his BS in Computer Engineering and MS in Artificial Intelligence from the Department of Computer Engineering at Shiraz University. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer and Control Engineering (DAUIN) of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. His research is focused on machine learning and especially deep learning-based methods for analysis and interpretation of images and other high dimensional data. His recent work concerns providing appropriate representations to improve the performance as well as reducing the amount of data needed to train deep neural networks on medical images for different tasks such as classification, object detection, and segmentation.
