Biography

Sergio Cannata earned a Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering at Università degli Studi di Catania in 2015, and a Master's Degree in Mechatronic Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2017. From 2018 to 2019 he worked as a research assistant within the CAD group at the Computer and Control Department at Politecnico di Torino, developing and implementing a real-time hardware simulation system of a bottling plant. In 2018 he earned the National Professional Qualification (Abilitazione Professionale) as Engineer both for the Industrial and the ICT sections of the Italian National Register of Engineers. He is currently a XXXV cycle student in the Electrical, Electronics and Communication PhD program at Politecnico di Torino. His research focuses on the design and implementation of smart sensors for IoT applications related to biomedical and weather parameter monitoring. He is a member of the Neuronica research group at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department.
