Biography

Rayan Imam holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics and Computer Systems Engineering (University of Khartoum, Sudan), a Master degree in Space Technology (University of Surrey, UK) and a 2nd Level Specializing Master degree in Satellite Navigation and Related Applications (Politecnico di Torino , Italy). She is carrying out her PhD research at the NavSAS group (Navigation Signal Analysis and Simulation). Her research focuses on the detection and mitigation of ionospheric scintillation affecting GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) signals.

Awards and Honors

  • African Space Leaders Award at the 3rd African Space Generation Workshop. The Space Generation Advisory Council, in support of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, is a non-governmental organisation and professional network which "aims to bring the views of students and young space professionals to the United Nations, space industry and other organisations”.
