Biography

Simone Aiassa received the BSc and MSc degrees in electronic engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. Since 2017, he is PhD Candidate in electronic engineering at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET), Politecnico di Torino, Guest PhD Student at the Integrated Systems Laboratory (LSI), EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, and member of the Micro & Nano Electronics System (MiNES), developing electronic systems for continuous monitoring of anaesthetics. He was MSc thesis student with Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in 2017 and Research Consultant at CRSLaghi in 2019. Simone Aiassa received the best paper award at IEEE MeMeA 2020 and the 2019 PhD Quality Award at Politecnico di Torino. He is chair of the Politecnico di Torino IEEE Student Branch, awarded as exemplary student branch in Italy Section and Region 8. Simone Aiassa is author of 13 academic papers, he supervised ten MSc students, and he served as reviewer in more than 40 publications. Interests include digital-design, bio-inspired electronics, electrochemical sensing, and biomedical circuit and systems.
