Biography
The passion for Research has begun since the high school at the ‘Istituto Tecnico Industriale’, where on 2011 he graduated in ‘Chemistry Technician’ discussing a practical thesis on the construction of Innovative Photovoltaic devices. The idea came from a Bibliographic research and then he successfully developed with the skills and instrumentations available in the laboratories.
He continued the studies, applying to the Faculty of ‘Materials Science and Engineering’ at the ‘Politecnico di Torino’. The Bachelor Thesis discussed on 2015, based on the Internship at ‘Faicom Italy’ focusing on the Injection Molding Process of Thermoplastic Polymers, under the supervision of Prof. Sangermano from DISAT.
From the parallel experience in the H2politO Student Team, led by Prof. Carello from DIMEAS, whose aim is to design and build electric and hybrid vehicles to compete with other universities at Shell Eco Marathon, he began to work on the Mechanical Characterization of Innovative Materials such as polymer matrix composites.
The Master Thesis, developed with Prof. Carello and Prof. Sangermano, had the subject of Chemical modification of an Epoxy resin in order to evaluate the variation of the mechanical properties of the polymer composites.
He is actually a PhD Candidate of XXXIII cycle at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with the Prof. Carello as PhD Tutor. The PhD Thesis concentrates on the development of a Structural Health Monitoring System (SHM) on Smart and Lightweight Components for Automotive Applications, in view of detect the damages occurring in the composite materials during the vehicle life.

- The Paper “Experimental Characterization of Piezoelectric Transducers for Automotive Composite Structural Health Monitoring” presented at SAE 2020 World Congress Experience (WCX 2020) has been awarded as one of the "Best papers for WCX" and has been selected to appear in SAE International Journal of Advances and Current Practices in Mobility. - The Paper “Active Aerodynamics through Active Body Control: Modelling and Static Simulator Validation” presented at ASME IDETC/CIE 2020 Virtual Conference has been awarded as "Best Student Paper at the 22nd AVT Conference" from the Design Engineering Division and Advanced Vehicle Technologies.
