Biography

Enrico Vaccariello is a PhD student at Politecnico di Torino. He received his Bachelor’s (2014) and Master’s (2017) degrees from PoliTo, having taken part to a 11-month exchange programme at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. In 2017 he undertook a PhD program at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of Politecnico di Torino and a research fellowship at the Department of Energy of the same institute. His research involves the integration of renewable sources in large-scale multi-carrier energy systems, with specific focus on the modeling of energy network infrastructures like power grid and gas network. His interests and activities also include energy access solutions for developing countries, having contributed to trainings, research and cooperation projects in DRC, Morocco, Tunisia and Ethiopia.
