Career Boost 4 Researchers

Researchers possess highly advanced technical and analytical tools that can open the door to stimulating and diverse careers, well beyond the boundaries of academia.

To seize these opportunities, it is essential to recognize the value of one’s professional background and build a career plan aligned with one’s values, interests, and goals. It is time to believe in your potential, enhance it, and turn it into a concrete impact in the world of work.

To fully enhance your educational and professional path, Politecnico di Torino has designed the Career Boost 4Researchers program, an interactive professional development workshop aimed at:

  • understanding the labor market, employment trends, and the most in-demand skills;
  • identifying and enhancing your technical and transferable skills, translating them into a concrete professional plan;
  • developing effective strategies to identify new professional opportunities;
  • building and strengthening your network of contacts;
  • preparing for selection processes through interview simulations, tests, and insights on contracts, offer evaluation, and negotiation.

Workshop structure

The program consists of 6 meetings of 4 hours each, characterized by an interactive approach based on practical exercises, simulations, and group activities, covering:

  1. Labor market and skills assessment
  2. Job search channels and job postings
  3. Personal branding and networking
  4. CV and cover letter writing
  5. Aptitude tests and job interviews
  6. Job interviews and types of employment contracts

Two additional modules on company structure and the functioning of key organizational processes will be introduced at a later stage.

Format and timeline
Between April and May, 2 identical editions will be offered: the modules will be repeated with the same program one week apart.

Two additional editions will be offered in the autumn.

You may register for individual modules, but attending the full program is strongly recommended in order to gain the maximum benefit.

Registration deadline: April 20

Participation: groups of up to 25 people. For each module, the first 25 registrations received will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can meet a professional to discuss your career goals and skills.

You can also work with a work psychologist who will help you focus on your growth path and boost your resources, guiding you toward achieving your goals.

The process also helps you develop greater self-awareness, enabling more autonomous decision-making and a stronger sense of responsibility, ultimately supporting personal fulfillment.

The programme consists of four individual meetings, each lasting approximately one hour, at the CAREER HUB – Corso Castelfidardo 42/A
