The energy transition is a global priority. Electric and hybrid vehicles, renewable energy integration into the power grid, and smart industrial power systems—all rely on power electronics, a key enabling technology for a more sustainable future.
PEIC – Power Electronics Innovation Centre is the first academic center in Italy dedicated to power converters for the energy transition, applying a pragmatic and multidisciplinary approach.
The Centre also collaborates with industry to develop new products that demand innovative energy conversion solutions.
Goal
The main objective of PEIC is to innovate the conversion of electricity
PEIC leverages the TEST-eDRIVE Infrastructure, a facility dedicated to high-performance testing of electric motors and drives for electrification in aerospace, automotive, and advanced manufacturing applications.
Technology & Research Infrastructures consist of facilities, tools, and services that support the scientific community in conducting research and fostering innovation.
