75° International Astronautical Congress (IAC)
The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is the leading event in the calendar of scientists and experts in the field of astronautics worldwide. It brings together the most advanced sectors of science, technology, and industry for a week of meetings, workshops, and technical-scientific sessions.
Politecnico di Torino, a driving force in space research and at the heart of the projects of Turin's Aerospace City, will play a key role in the 75th edition of the IAC, which will be held from October 14 to 18 in Milan (at the MiCo - Milano Convention Centre).
The University will have a strong presence with its faculty and the participation of its top researchers in this strategic and rapidly expanding sector: over 170 professors, researchers, and research fellows will attend, contributing more than 320 scientific papers to a program that includes around 4200 accepted works.
As part of the conference schedule focused on aerospace research topics, the Politecnico di Torino will share its expertise in satellite research and development, Earth observation, and the vital field of telecommunications.
The IAC will open its doors to the general public on Friday, October 18.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet astronauts, gain insights into their experiences, take photos, and request autographs as a memento of the event.
In addition to visiting the exhibition areas, two key moments will be available to the public:
PoliTO will also provide a space where companies can meet with researchers to get important collaborative projects off the ground. In addition PoliTO aerospace project funded with PNRR-Next Generation EU will be presented: PoliTO leads the innovation ecosystem NODES - Nord Ovest Digitale e Sostenibile, where it is engaged in the flagship project SPACE4YOU; PoliTO also leads Spoke 1 - Air Mobility of the National Center for Sustainable Mobility - MOST, working on the future of air mobility. In addition, PoliTO leads the Space It Up! project, funded by Italian Space Agency and the Ministry of University and Research, with the aim of bringing together Italian expertise in space science and engineering.
Also starring at IAC will be the space scientists of tomorrow: PoliTO student teams ASTRA, CubeSat, DIANA, PoliTo Rocket, PoliTorbital and Icarus working in aerospace will be present at the booth with their prototypes.
For full details, visit the official page dedicated to the IAC Public Day.
Registration is required to attend, which can be completed at this link. For more information, please contact registration@iac2024.org.

The list of research groups and their innovative solutions for the HANDS ON EXPERIENCES is attached.
- The maximum number of attendees allowed for the Public Day is 3000.
- There are no limits for the morning session, which will take place in the Auditorium from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The maximum capacity of the Auditorium is 1570 people, so access will be regulated based on the number of participants, and seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended to arrive early, as once the maximum number of participants is reached, access to the room will no longer be allowed.
