Admission

The 2nd level Specializing Master's Programme is open to a maximum of 20 participants.

You must hold a full degree (Master of Science Degree/Laurea specialistica/Laurea magistrale or equivalent qualification) by the enrollment deadline in the following areas*: Physics, Computer Science, Aerospace and Astronautic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronical Engineering, Energy and Nuclear Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematical Modelling for Engineering, Materials engineering, Universe Sciences

For applicants holding a foreign qualification: university career of 5 years or more (10 semesters), in the disciplines corresponding to those indicated above. 

Even if you have not earned your Master's degree yet but are going to graduate before the enrollment deadline, you can submit your application for admission to the programme.

*the Selection Committee reserves the right, at its discretion, to assess the admission of candidates graduated in technical scientific disciplines other than those indicated, if they have the scientific and cultural preparation to attend the lessons.  

A good knowledge of the English language is required (equivalent to level B2 English level - CEFR) and must be certified by a language certificate as indicated in the tab below.

Applications must be submitted through the website Apply@PoliTo only, no later than October 16th 2025 at 2:00 p.m. (Italian time), penalty of exclusion from the selection process.

 

Login at Apply@Polito in one of the following ways:

  1. Politecnico di Torino former students:  log into your personal page at Portale della Didattica, select "Segreteria online" and click on "Apply@polito"; if you don't remember your password, you can reset it at this link
  2. Candidates already registered at Apply@polito: if you already have a username in Apply@PoliTo but you have never been enrolled at Politecnico you have to login with your credentials (username and password). You can reset the password at this link.
  3. Candidates graduated from other universities: register at Apply@polito, you will receive an e-mail with username and password, click on the link inside for the first login.

To apply:

  • make sure you meet the admission requirements for the 2nd Level Specializing Master's programme;
  • fill in each section of the online application form, select the  2nd Level Specializing Master's programme and the programme title;
  • attach in the section "attachements" the required supporting documents in pdf format. Supporting documents must be in English or Italian only;
  • submit your application (save and submit).

  • Valid Identification document (passaport for extra-EU applicants)
  • Curriculum vitae 
  • Only for applicants with degrees obtained from an an Italian Public University: self-certificate (dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione - ai sensi dell’art. 46 DPR 28 dicembre 2000, n. 445) in which applicants declare to have obtained both a Bachelor and a Master’s degree. Self-certification must include: name of degree, name of the University, date of degree conferral and graduation final grade, full list of all the exams passed and grades obtained 
  • Only for applicants with degree obtained from a non-Italian University or private Italian University: both Bachelor and Master's degree official transcript issued by the University of origin, produced on letter-headed paper, containing the full list of all the exams passed and the grades obtained, graduation final grade and date of degree conferral.

If you fail to attach even one of the above mandatory documents, you will be excluded from the selection process.

 

Optional documents can be attached to the application:

  • Thesis’ abstract: this document is one of the elements attesting the coherence with the Master’s topics;
  • English language certificate: candidates who do not submit a certificate and are eligible for the second step of the selection process will be interviewed to assess their knowledge of the English language.
