Unite! “Belonging & Well-being”
Unite! “Belonging & Well-being” is a four-part interactive workshop series, offfered by CM3 members, dedicated to supporting the well-being of PhD candidates and underserved students throughout their academic journey. Designed to address the personal, social, and academic challenges faced in academia, this series offers practical tools, guided reflection, and a safe and inclusive space for exchange. Together, participants will explore strategies to better manage everyday challenges, strengthen their sense of belonging, and identify pathways to flourish in academic environments.
Each workshop lasts 60–90 minutes and is highly interactive, encouraging active participation, reflection, and peer exchange.

- 27 January – 11:00 AM CET. IDGs and Compassionate Systems Leadership: Transform How You Lead Complex Change, By Lucie Jiraskova (Grenoble INP – UGA) This workshop creates a collective space to reflect on the changes we want to see in our lives to support well-being. Participants will explore the Inner Development Goals and tools from the Compassionate Systems framework to develop new ways of relating to themselves, others, and the world with greater clarity and compassion.
- 17 February – 11:00 AM CET. Belonging and Support in Academia: Connect More, Stress Less, By Wilfried Grassegger (TU Graz) Academic environments thrive when individuals feel valued, connected, and seen. This session explores how experiences of not belonging contribute to stress and offers actionable strategies to foster belonging and supportive relationships.
- 03 March – 11:00 AM CET. From Self-Doubt to Confidence: Boost Your Next Speech, By Diana Seyfarth (TU Darmstadt) Many PhD students and early researchers struggle with self-doubt and fear of speaking up. This interactive session provides practical strategies and mindset tools to strengthen your voice, communicate clearly, and build confidence for your next presentation or speech.
- 09 April – 11:00 AM CET. Navigating Academia as You Are: Tools for Inclusion and Resilience, By Lea Belz (TU Darmstadt) Discrimination, microaggressions, and structural disadvantages are real, yet often remain unaddressed. This session offers tools to build resilience and navigate academia while staying true to who you are.
