Biography
With a M.Sc. in Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Gabriele conducted a thesis on the preliminary study of mineral processing for a newly discovered zinc-lead ore deposit in Italy.
In his professional journey, Gabriele served as a Grant Researcher at PoliTO, contributing to lab-scale mineral processing testing and the analytical characterization of ores. He also gained experience as an Environmental Engineer, specializing in waste rock management for infrastructure construction.
Gabriele's expertise includes mining waste and tailings reprocessing, sampling strategies, and mineralogical and chemical characterization using advanced techniques such as X-ray Powder Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, and X-ray fluorescence. He is experienced in designing lab-scale mineral processing tests, covering crushing, comminution, and physical separation.
