Biography

The research activity is mainly related to issues of spatial planning and territorial governance in the pan-European context. In particular, so far the research activity has focused on issues related to European metropolitan governance in the first instance and Italian metropolitan governance in the second, cohesion policy and its related governance structures at the European, national and metropolitan levels and finally sustainable urbanization and land consumption with particular focus on different laws and spatial planning systems that regulate the territory. In recent years I'm involved in various international research projects such as ESPON SUPER, ESPON SUPER spin-off and ESPON METRO. Particularly in the first two ESPON projects, I collaborated as technical support in the drafting of the different reports and helped in filling out the different questionnaires preparatory to the research activities. In the ESOPN METRO project, besides collaborating in the drafting of the different reports and a case study, I was responsible for the cartographic part by being in charge of producing (with GIS software), or in some cases re-editing (according to the ESPON MAPKIT), all the project's cartographies and systematizing the related metadata. Finally, also within the METRO project I was in charge of the role of Data Manager managing all aspects related to databases.
