Biography

Claudio Castiglione is Ph.D. Candidate of the XXXIII Doctoral Program in “Production, Management and Design” of Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He graduated in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2016. He worked as junior research fellowship in a project supported by Politecnico di Torino and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, for the development of algorithms to solve multi-objective problems of component capacity saturation, considering final product margin for firm, and final product attractiveness for customers. His Ph.D. thesis is focused on facilitating transition from linear to circular economy by the development of models to concurrently design supply chains and industrial symbiosis networks to create value from waste through new technologies. His research, which is empirical and carried out and supported by Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, aims to support a fast diffusion of emergent green technologies through the identification of suitable conditions of adoption. He is a member of International Society for Industrial Ecology since October 2019.
