After graduation

After the degree you will have two different opportunities:

to continue your studies with a Master’s degree programme at Politecnico di Torino or elsewhere (in Italy or abroad);

to enter the employment world.

Graduates in Mechanical Engineering have a wide range of opportunities, covering all those industries that –in different fields– design, produce, and maintain components and systems, in plant engineering companies, in service and consultancy firms, as well as in public bodies.
Your professional profile will allow you to handle the changes of the labour market and to positively tackle new challenges in a quickly changing industrial environment.

Also the new global themes such as mobility, industry 4.0 and environmental sustainability will require a versatile mechanical engineer for:

  • the design and revision of products and processes;
  • the design and management of production systems and methods, the assessment of processes’ productivity and products quality;
  • the design and maintenance of industrial plants, the design of technical services, layout, and internal logistics of plants and departments;
  • the technical-commercial service, the purchase of materials, mechanical components and systems, assisting companies’ commercial services.
