Training in Materials Engineering does not take place only in the classroom. From the first year, theoretical knowledge is complemented by experimental laboratory activities, where you will learn about materials through observation, sample preparation, testing, and characterisation techniques.
Throughout the programme, you will have the opportunity to work directly with metallic, polymeric, and ceramic materials, using tools and methods employed in engineering and research.
Laboratory activities will also help you develop key skills for your future career as an engineer: analysing and interpreting results, tackling experimental problems, working in teams, and communicating your conclusions effectively.
